I really really *really* like this picture very much. It's incredibly emotional and it lets the viewer think about the old ethical question: Can medical advance really be seen as a good thing in all aspects?

It was more of a sci-fi concept than a social commentry. But thats the great thing about the visual medium, everyone sees it through different eyes.

Originally it was from an Idea I had for a short or series of films to do with the colonisation of the solar system. This guy was one of the last remaining original crew members form the first wave of colony ships, he had paid the price with radiation ravaging his body but his mind was still full of fight and worth keeping whatever the cost.
Or an argument could be made for it being a subconscious expression of my own health problems.
