the random wandering of my imagination

Thundering Hell

, , , , , , , , , ,

Hell of a week gone by, pain wise

A little churchyard near Castletown on the shores of Lough Derg

Portumna Castle

Menlo Castle

This day last week we had a fairly impressive storm, around 6PM the first rumbles of thunder could be heard echoing over the city. It gradually made its way across until it felt like it was sitting on our roof, the retina searing flashes one following another then the rushing rolls of thunder rattling the windows. Then the rain, like nothing I have ever seen. A waterfall outside my window.
Now you might be thinking - a thunder storm? so what, there are probably hundreds of them happening around the world at this very moment.

Well this one was of particular importance to me, it was the first thunder storm in the last 8 years that came close enough to me too cause all the little hairs on my arms to stand up. Again so what you may ask.

It didnt stop at my arms, it also travelled down my legs and right into the damaged nerves that reside there......

And it healed me!!!!

Or that is what I would say if this was an uplifting story about overcoming the crap that the world throws in your path.

In fact it did the opposite, it aggravated my condition again, so bad I couldn't even lie on the bed for 3 days.
Even now, a week later it feels like someone has been beating me with a hammer and not in a good way

Damn. A thunder storm, who'd of thought?

Still, could have been worse. It didnt fry my computer.

You may remember The Thump, You better or I`ll send him round to remind you personally.
Well I ripped bits off him - just little stuff - his arms and legs. And rebuilt them today. Hands are not finished yet but I`m already a lot happier with the look. I have Plans!!

Nearly forgot, the three photos of ruins just because I`m a bit ruined myself.

Now there is a rambling post, photos - 3D - and whining about pain. If I just add a drawing it would be my whole blog in one post.
Take care, I will be watching. 8/

You have a wonderful sence of humour! Hopefully today your pain has subsided a bit. The rain on the window is fantastic photography. Have a great night friend - wishing you gentle rest.

Menlo Castle was built in 1569, and was the main home of the Blake family, until it tragically burned down in 1910

And not to worry The Thump is safely restrained...for now

I had a choice to make, laugh at the world or destroy it, And frankly I am just too plain lazy to work up the energy to destroy it :D

I'm not so worried about the Thump now, you make removing his limbs sound quite matter of fact.

And it is good to see that you can still laugh in spite of it all.
