Ah ha November, We Meet Again

Things have been nuts lately around here.
With any luck it will settle down soon and I will return to my normal activities.
Pictures are from St James Park in London. This squirrel climbed up my back, down my arm and had a bit of a root around in my camera bag. Friendly or just a bit forward?

Remind me to write some time about a flight that should have taken an hour and a half but ended up it the region of nine hours and involved leaving from and arriving at cities that were not on the ticket.

See you soon...I hope.

There are things I should be doing and reading, but I have no idea what they are.

Dispatches From The Island- Day 4 pt 2

, ,

Or, Is this the end? Having left the Island behind, we headed back in the Corraun Peninsula. If you follow the north coast road there is a narrow inlet from the sea that runs right down until you are nearly at Mullrany. Its dominated by Claggan Mountain across the water from you There are a couple of ruined cottages on the same side of the inlet as the road and are a fine example of what happens when you don't keep your house plants under control :D Then Into Mullrany withits salt marches, shell covered beach, little wooden bridges
On to Newport and then Westport with Croagh Patrick on its outskirts And the nearby National Famine Memorial, a sculpture of a Coffin or famine ship. Its covered by these ghostly skeletal figures Continuing on the road home, passing the Partry Mountains and Sheeffry hills as the sun starts to dip toward the horizon. Which brought us to Leenaun at the inland end of Ireland's only Fjord, Killary Harbour. where the sun was hovering just over The Mweelra Mountains. Then home through Connemara. THE END....
