Just as I was putting together the last post there was a bit of a confrontation in the back garden. A loud cawwwing and Mow-www in response. You see there is an old shed with a galvanized roof that forms part of the boundary between our garden and the neighbours. They scatter scraps and bits of bread on it to feed the birds. When the smaller birds come round for a quick bite, Kip (Thats the cat) doesn't seem to bother them much at all I think she is happy enough knowing that she can catch them when ever she wants.. they don't present much of a challenge any more. However when this enormous evil looking rook set its eyes on a quick snack from the avian buffet Kip was having none of it- Straight on to the roof for a casual lay down. They eyed one another for a couple of minutes before the rook backed down and flew off.
