Its my Birthday, 38 today and I am feeling a good deal older. My leg totally failed me earlier today and I slammed shoulder and arm straight into a wall on the way down. My age is showning or else it was a "special" present from The Bad Leg

It was down near the sea where the seagulls gather and the mountains loom. A distant boat cut through the waves and at the top of the beach was this skeleton of a home.

Its interior equal parts raw stone, whitewash and charred blackened soot. The main room had been devastated, roof gone and walls shattered. A fan of stones had spread out onto the rocks of the beach as though some great force had burst from the cottage and returned to the depths.....

This is about the only shot that I got during the Volvo ocean race stopover here in Galway that doesn't require extensive work.
Running low on processed shots so I will have to get to work on them soon.
I have been feeling fairly awful these last few months. Every time I think its settling down a bit something else happens to set it off again.
Ah well, it will change eventually. I will be myself again one day.

Go to your happy place

And Stomp!!

My first try at compositing directly into a photo.
There are a few of these in my head clamoring to get out. Its both easier and more difficult than I thought it would be to do.

My ankle is the size of a.... well very big ankle, and patches of skin on the leg have a remarkable resemblance to raw steak, the pain is what you might guess. But I have only missed walking on 3 days this year.
Admittedly I do scare some of the people I meet on the road, I tend to sort of growl when the pain is at its worst. It helps me.

So if you are one of those that now cross the street to avoid me as I hobble and growl my way around the neighbourhood, my apologies. I`m not really dangerous...unless you cross me.:furious:
All the dogs seem to love it though.

Really tired now must sleep soon. I need to go to the postal depot tomorrow, a package arrived today but I was not here to take it.
A Mystery package, what is in it?
Stacks of cash?
Esoteric statuary from the far corners of the earth?
Illicit Drugs?
A small mammal?
A bottle of rare and extraordinary whiskey?
A packet of treats for kip (I believe she has been using my computer on the quite, perhaps ordering stuff on-line.)?
A tightly rolled ancient parchment detailing the real location of Galway ?
A tiny crystal vial containing a Deep blue liquid with a strange odor.

As I said...... I need to sleep soon

Feeling really dopey tonight, probably from the new meds. Little sparks behind my eyes and trouble focusing. Headache. Hmm not looking too promising so far.
Just need to keep going. Catch up tomorrow hopefully.
Walked 1.3km today. Not a lot for most but a fairly good distance for me.
