UPDATE

OK,
Not sure what to say. But since starting my first "group" I have been surprised by the number of visitors (STANSGNOSTICUS opera group).
I don't have much content really. I have a ton of stuff inside my own server instead (mostly for personal use).
What surprises me even more is the fact that people have joined as "members" of this group.
Yet I know very little about any of them. I've looked at some of their pages and blogs... not much there either.
For now I will sit and just be patient.
I'm presently busy with some travelling coming up and doing a research project on surveillance and control of elevated blood pressures in patients with diabetes mellitus. The churning through data is a bit of a bear, but I am using SAS (WINXP unfortunately) and that makes it much easier.
An interesting website that got my attention of late:
http://www.jayparkinsonmd.com/blog/
Interested to hear what others are "searching" for and if anyone would be interested in looking around inside my server STANSGNOSTICUS using the free downloadable client. I have various guest accounts so access would be free as well. I am interested to hear what others think about FIRSTCLASS and www.stansgnosticus.net is my website published from my experimental playground inside my Firstclass server. Inside is a feature rich environment, far better than these blogs and much more private.
I have created a new group dedicated ONLY to OPERA users who are licensed FIRSTCLASS users to see who else is out there already knowledgeable about using FIRSTCLASS. I imagine there are those from universities or k-12 programs around the world as well as business people who use the tool or their administrators. I pointed the company president who supports my server to OPERA... he's experimenting with UBUNTU on a MAC right now.
I do have a problem... it appears my OPERA+FIRSTCLASS group is letting anyone sign-up as a member even though I made the settings so they had to write to me first atleast. Hmmm... interesting.
This week I finally explored the site del.icio.us what a neat tool.
I also found by looking through the TED archives a neat OPENSOURCE learning site for collaborating on educational materials.
CONNEXIONS (cnx.org).
The links are on my del.icio.us page.
Best regards and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
