I cannot activate my input method(whatever, scim, or fcitx, ...) in opera with shared qt. but no problem for static version. I doubt it's fedora's qt package problem since other distributions like mandrake gentoo not affected.
System: fedora core 4
Qt version: qt-3.3.4
Opera: 8.5/shared qt
Update: accidentally i found input method works in shared-qt version of opera! try your luck to update your qt in a kde-redhat repo here:
http://kde-redhat.sourceforge.net/i love this repo. a lot kde tools can be found while other fedora repos tend to focus on gtk apps.

if i use "insert note" to add text to current note, then click other exiting note entry and back, the text inserted just now disappears. this indicates opera's notes function only saves user input text directly. copy-paste also works.

"copy to note" (linux version) doesn't copy return characters!

tooltips for notes should not display the entire content, but a summary probably. sometimes the note can be so long as to cover the whole screen.

two problems:
1) transfer history only keeps recent records.
2) cannot easily switch to other download managerUpdate: opera provides customization of menus by editing menu ini. so passing links to externel download manager becomes possible. i also use this feature to have added "open in firefox" in pop menu. very nice and easy. the problem is, i don't know how to pass multiple links selected in "Links Panel" to externel program

a major step, I think, towards being perfect. from what opera ceo said, it's not far away from now. wow!
- notes with richtext editing/capture without html format loss
- support wysiwyg editor for websites like blogger/gmail/...
- copy/paste without loss of html format
