New Opera Community -- Update
Monday, 1. August 2005, 16:03:44
One of my staff members recently got this e-mail from a well-known blogger that writes a lot about Opera. I thought it deserved an official reply of some sort.
> I heard that Opera is rolling out a new design for the Opera community
> site. I understand that with it will come more features.
We can confirm that it will have new features that are not included in the current Opera Community. Lots and lots of them. It will support more Web standards than any community I know of and will allow you to submit much more advanced input.
> How soon are we to this update?
It will be launched as soon as it is ready (real soon now, I promise!) and we have the sufficient number of servers available to support it.
> Also, could you tell me what kind of
> new features to expect?
Not at this point, and I'd prefer to tell everyone at once. No opening of packages before Christmas...
But expect a lot.
> Will the Opera Blogs section be fixed?
Yes, it will. it will be completely different from now. You will like it. And our competitors should be afraid. Very afraid.
> P.S. I will not quote you by name.
Feel free

Does that say anything about the day the new Community will be launched?
