God and Spirituality - the essence of human life.

, ,

Religions tell us who we are, what to believe, who to be and what to do to be what it wants us to be. For the people who feel that religion is love, you cannot say that it’s not without some conditions and some force. But this is exactly opposite what we really are. As a spiritual being we are free, with unconditional love and we are limitless. Because we don’t like to live within a limited cage, religion uses fear tactics such as guilt, shame and punishment theories to exercise this control. Because of this fearful separation of ourselves from god, we loose the connection and also feel empty. The fear has been the greatest cause of dumbness in humanity that stops us from realizing who we are. Religions have portrayed us as the creatures made by nature carnal and if left on our own, will do the wrong thing. By saying so the religions has made the humanity to feel themselves as low level creatures and not as co-creators of this universe, which is what we really are. It is the truth that we as spiritual beings are the creators of our world and there-by stand as co-creators of this universe. And by portraying as nature carnal, religions have made people forget about the inner spiritual self, which is what we really are and not this carnal.

"The essence of religion: Fear God and obey God.
The quintessence of spirituality: Love God and become another God."

Where is God? This has been ever the greatest question for the people who follow the religions. Religion talks about the heavens as place of the God. But in spiritual reality god is everywhere. Everything in this universe is part of god. With religion, at times, God can seem far from the reach of aspiring humanity. Religion embraces forms, rituals and practices which have emphasis on outside world than the inner spiritual reality. God and Spirituality is first about inner, higher self than the outside world.

“Only in a quiet mind, is adequate perception of the world”
The mind is a conscious projection of soul. But our mind is not completely conscious. As we have heard and known, we have a conscious mind and a sub-conscious mind. Sub-conscious mind is responsible for our reflex actions. Some or most of our habitual actions have become part of sub-conscious mind. The sub-conscious mind executes the action (habit), even before we try to interpret the event from our conscious mind. That is why it is hard to change a habit. As the time goes on, some or most of the religious practices, which we repeatedly perform, tend to become habits that in-turn are a part of our sub-conscious mind. Thus the religious matters have moved away from pure-consciousness state, making our sub-conscious mind the bigger part of our mind. Since the religions’ emphasis more on the outside world, we tend to look outside from our mind and hence the projection gets broader, thereby making it harder for us to look at our inner self. Spirituality places emphasis on inner self. As we spend more time looking within ourselves and start to understand the spiritual reality, the size of the projection i.e. the mind decreases. Take an electronic projector for example. The projected image is small when the distance between the projector and the wall and the size increases as the distance increases. The soul is the projector and the mind is the image. As we understand the spiritual reality and bring our mind closer to the soul, the mind decreases in size. At a point where the mind overlaps with the soul, the projection is no more. This is the pure-conscious state. But as we dwell in the pleasures of this material world, we take our mind far away from soul and hence the mind seems to be the biggest reality. This is the state where we find most of the people today. All the fear, search and emptiness which have lead to the hatred, greed and wars on this earth are because of this.

“It is God that the humanity really needs and seeks.”
Let us have a thought on our past. There have been many civilizations in the past and every civilization had their own religious practices. When the day the civilizations ended, their religious practices too saw the end. Today this world comprises of many new world civilizations. May be the religious practices has changed, but our belief of God and the true spiritual essence of our life has never changed. With the increasing global spiritual awareness, it is time for us to remove the differences, bloodshed, and all the pain and sufferings of the past by placing all our faith, belief and emphasis on God. We always know that there is a better way of doing things and spirituality is one real better way to reach God. Let us step up to make this earth more spiritual, more flourished, more harmonious and a better place than ever it was. Let the future be an Aquarian age for us and for the generations to follow.
