So it's 2:00 am and I'm out checking out the opera forums.What's this create a journal? Suuuuuuure why not?
I barely know how to run opera and here I go on a journey to further confuse myself.

I guess it will be a general toilet for me to expectorate any ideas,rants or raves that my flow out of this addled brain.Should be good for a laugh when I'm totally pissed.Whatever bent this drivel eventually takes at least they will be good typing practice.So If you are drunk, pissed, stoned or just need to vent something,feel free to drop a line or three.

Long overdue. Yes it's been way too long since I up dated this and beings how I was in the neighborhood and langterra so kindly reminded me, I thought I should bash out a few words seeing how this keyboard is a smooth as silk now that I lubed it up.I took the keyboard (dexxa)apart and cleaned it then lubed up the keys with JIG-a-LOO lubricant. Damn!Does it ever do the trick. It has been longer than I thought since I updated(almost 2yrs
)so I should update the comp situation as things have really changed. Bought a PIII last year from a guy in town who later laid a truck load of computer stuff on me. The PIII is 667mhz running win2k.I recently added a nvidia 128mb video card and am running dual 17" monitors.CD/rw/dvdrom came as an extra and have only this week got the thing to burn Cd's'. It needed a firmware upgrade and I could of got it running months go if I had only done the upgrade.
the sound system is on-board which I plan on changing to sound blaster live soon.Altec lansing spkrs with the sub out running a sally-ann sub.The scanner and printer are both different now too.The scanner is scans twice res what the old one did. The printer is hp deskjet 722c but the drivers for it don't allow for 2 side printing or banners.Another Huge improvement is the new seagate 80gb hard drive. I finally have room to do some of those music projects I have been planning for soooo long.The pIII is now connected via a dual modem LAN from 3com with pcanywhere to the PII (hence forth known as the music server
)Pcanywhere is pretty wild as I can control the p2 while sitting at the p3.It has given me some headaches trying to get pcany configured properly but think I may have gotten all the
out. I plan on adding a cpl of the p1 machines to the LAN too.WHY? Becuz I can!!!
Having the LAN set up will also let me move some of the stuff around to reclaim some of the floor space in here.
Dave the computer guy also gave me a powerpc mac that with a $20 monitor adapter is running a e-mu sound module that is midi capable. I can hook up the dr rhythm to it.dave also cpl weeks ago gave me a mac OS upgrade disk and few others.
Speaking of software..... one of the reasons that I happen to be in the opera community is that I just finished installing the latest stable opera. 9.2
A few other software titles of late are;photoshop,the gimp beta,fly2k,audacity,etc.
Trivia is going pretty good too.The 14k milestone is now behind me as of the other day.It's too bad that some of my buds have decided to hang up their skates tho.
I created a frapper site for #trivia which has about a 100 members or so but need to recruit some more.
It is springtime and even though the birds are starting to return it doesn't look very springiy outside right now. It's raining but trying it's damnedest to snow.Snow knocked out the power a cpl weeks ago all over the northwest. The outage did however give me a chance to talk to judy and janice over the blower.Alton has been back driving school bus since sept. Pascal is out in Edmonton working at the plaza hotel. Pat is hoping to get another job paving up the line and should be out today to get the dodge to drag Chris's new 5th wheel trailer. Mom is having stomach problems and is due to see the specialist in 10 days or so. I have to go to the doc to find out the results of my tests to see if I have acid reflux.
I hope to get a better camera soon so I can post more pics and stuff. so till then........ttfn.

Well jest when a guy thinks that things are going okay......well you know.On the first trip to town with the brakes fixed the shit hit the fan.Got pulled over by the dot pukes on old lakeelse rd.The d.o.t. dude saw the bbq in the back and on went the rollers.Short version.....$180 in fines inspection order and pulled off the road.Least he let me drive it to Alton's place.He bought the premise that I was PFD so got away with that at least.
So now the truck is up on ramps back at home with the gas tank out and in need of exhast and brake line.A good new bit is that we got the engine fer the chevy going and it sounds great.
Now jest to get the motor stuffed into the hole.The subaruski is running but needs parts but are going to see if we can get it insured.
In buds news Larry is in cameron's cabin now and Pascal headed off to P.G.
On the comp.front,the hopped up 486 will not recognize any modems so am stuck on that fer a bit.(com port prob I think)The 722c printer doen't power up at all so that's out.I jest finished installing opera 8.1 and seems everything is ok.Hopfully it will be a little more stable than 8.0 cuz have been getting invalid page fault errors lately.

rd_south's blog which he jest started.(roadsouth.com)Finally registered at del.icio.us which is going to be a big help as far as bookmark managment goes.
Was talking to langterra and she's getting ready fer the big family get together this wknd.

Well finally got the truck back on the road yesterday.Pat and Lee-ann came out and pfd helped me get it together.We used the caliper off the b2 instead of drilling out the caliper from the black truck.We also pulled the studs out of the front tires as well.(bout'time lol)I wired up the exhaust and hopfully it will stay put for a while.Pat and I also took the carb off the water pump and had it running a bit but it still needs a carb kit.We switched fuel tanks and it is now back to running off a boat gas tank.
Has been raining quite a bit the last few days altough it has stopped as I write.
The newest comp is not a p1 as I had thought but a jacked up 486.I may use that one as my town puter anyways as it has a sound card built in.I have not finished testing it out fully but will get to it soon.
Anyways off to town tom.Maybe the puter store will be nice to me again.

Well....another caaliper is in order.The ford decided to lock up on the passenger side this time.Alton and I got it free but it's still fucked.Need to tack one off the old black truck.Picked up a complete comp the other day but haven't checked it out yet.(p1)Was out surfing and came across technorati and fergot that this was linked there.lol
Am going to continue with the spring clean up to taday and test the new comp.

Well stuck in town again.The truck fucked up.spun a wheel bearing and now need to get a caliper.Pasacal is here at alton's as well.Met a girl last night from 2 doors down.Her name is Glenda.Alton,Pascal and I went and stood around her fire till the sun started to come up.curing the hangover but still the truck is effed up.Am listening to bb6 (dickenson replay)Hot and muggy out.Wish the wind would pick up

Well another sleepless night here out on the web.
Replied to the posts about the shoutcast icon and also started a new thread concerning backpackit.com (only works with ie6)Got a web cam,a 5 gig hd and a win98se installation from that guy over on queensway.
am hoping to get sb live and a cd-rw from him in a couple of weeks.Can't get the web cam going as this puter won't load the drivers for some idiotic reason but hope to get it going soon.
Pascal's place got sold and he now in thornhill.Jan is buying a trailer on mist ave in thornhill.
The weather has been fairly decent but still a little chilly in the ams.Larry is redoing his roof and Chris and I have been helping him out when we have the effin screws.
Pat demoe wiped out his car a cpl of weeks ago and ended up in vgh.He's back in mills now and might pop by to see him when I go to town to see my doctor on wed.
Well must cruise think I'll see who's on trivia.

Well, the comp front has changed quite a bit since the last post.
Got a 233 p2 with kyboard and monitor from my fav comp store.Put in a 56k modem and dropped in a 256k stick.
My wheel mouse works great.The comp came with win98se so have upgraded a lot of the progs.the new modem caused some phone probs so had to get call director from telus.Also installed fast dial-up and am running beta 8 from the big O.Was jest here to get the url for techno once again.Trivia score is about 918 now and user page looks great.Got a killer cold from pfd but seems to be letting up a little now.

Well of course it's been awhile since the last post but what else is new.
What IS new is that I finally figured out how to set up the chat client in opera.It was after setting up trillian that I found out what irc was all about.Don't really know why it seemed so confusing before.I found the opera server and there was a room called trivia.
and the rest as they say is history. A new addiction has taken over. It's a great room
and I am on a team and have been doing pretty well.(429 pts.)I created a user page there which turned out pretty good considering I didn't have a clue as to what I was doing.

In forward motion news, Pat got a motor for the chevy from work and will install it when the weather warms up.speaking of which I must go as I have to get the wood in and go to the pissing tree.

Yes it was gst day yesterday and we all know what that means.Town with mom and Pascal.Road was icy drove both ways myself.Figured out the cruise control in the truck and made Pas nervous.Warmed up but is going to get cold again.the wood shed is looking pretty scary.
Bought yet another printer to see if there is any ink in it.Also scored a acer scanner but do not know if I have any cables to run it etc.The back-up mouse quit on the right button so am back using the logitech without a cover.Formatted the old drive in anticipation of win98se.Can not get it to install from dos.(?)Cleaned up alot of crap with ez cleaner anyways.
Chat with Judy a lot now.trillium works great!Boni has not replied to my last post but will send her one more to explain my last.Sent roni my pic(s)and she told my I have great eyes.Sent dears and roni and judy a x-mas greeting.I think dears phoned but am not sure.Spent x-mas at pat's with Alton,pas,mom,and I.Boxing day at lee-ann's.New years at billy cool's.Itchy told me that Heidi had a baby girl.

The downloading addiction just never ends.Downloaded a bit this past little while.
Most recent was registry cleaner which I have yet to try yet as I must make sure I Know how to back-upthe files before I start down that dark scary lane.
Prior to that I finally got power toys which has some cool tools for windoze.Launched the im app Trillian.Had a few probs but they were solved by a diff skin.Like opera it's something I wish I had found months ago.works on all the im's.
On other fronts signed up for the rss aggregator,bloglines which is freakin fantastic!You can even get a @ to post on different sites.ONE Terra byte mail?Sound crazy? Well got an @ at hriders and will be interesting to see how it pans out.Will definitely free up some disk space fer sure!
Found a good help site,help withwindows that has some great tweaks.
Was chatting with Judy and she is sending me win98.Just have to figure out the best way to install it.

The chevy finally quit last week on the way to town so had to get Pat to help get it home that night.I thought the motor finally packed it in but it turns put it may have been out of gas even though the guage read ok.still it sounded pretty rough.got the subaru running but went and got alton's truck signed over and have been trying to get it running.The story so far;batt clamp,gas filler pipe,selenoid.Runs but won't start hot.To do:starter,heater fan,turn signal, tires.
Was looking at posts here in h2g2 and was nominated in the telegram game a couple of times!
Well, going to run and send Judy a @ about aim.

Went to Paul and Patty's to wire their water pump today.
Of course somthing had to screw up.I think the prob is in one of the connections at the switch.Will find out tommorow when it is light out.Larry and Silvia were there as well and we all had a great supper.Paul laid a Gibson guitar hat on me as well.Thanks bud!

will the insanity ever stop?
have been fucking with this puter again.x-cleaner failed to work with it's past two updates so had to find something else to fight spyware.spy-bot is working now but had to update to winsoc2.also added a fix for ie.AVG said it would no longer support 6.0 after dec.so downloaded 7.0 but of course there was a hitch.DCOM95had to be installed as well as ie 5.x.installed ie from the Earswideopen c.d.
Why didn't it work when I really needed a browser? Oh well would not have found opera if it had.signed up at technorati and am planning to hit one of those rss aggregators maybe later.also signed up at hitchhikers but have not posted yet.
In other news,the germans are back and pascal and I drank some over proof Vodka.alton and pat got a trailer out on queensway.al was out here for a couple of weeks and we did some major fire wood.Pascal is back in thornhill for awhile while Jan and Ren are in camp.Heidi phoned me yesterday and informed me that Mary Peterson passed away.Another good friend gone.
the aurora was phenomenal last week the best I've seen I think.
Should be piling wood today as well as maybe changing stoves before this one fucking kills me.
The Lions beat Sask in the western final(field goal in o.t.) and will play TO in the grey cup.ROAR LIONS ROAR jest like back in '64.

Well it looks like this blog is turning out to be more of nothing at all.In any case must remember to post more often tha I have been.
Jest finished a post to roni which i compiled off line which turned out great as the effin site didn't time out on me as it usually does.It took me a couple of hours to write as I actually had to put some serious thought to it.
On another front,alton and I went for two loads of fire wood in behind Pascal's.
Tommorrow is that day so it's off to town as per usual.so anyway see you tommorrow?

Well did not go for water.

Had a great time in mids room last night this morn.
Clem showed up and helped me find the last of Alton's weed.Sure was cooollldd last eve.Snowed in alberta last night as well.on ckua.com all day.Lionel sat in.replied to alluring and simple as well.

Just got back from town bout' half hour ago.Had to take mom to the hospital as the new drugs Brown gave her did ont agree with her.Hope she gets better soon! The truck is on it's last legs for sure.Doesn't want to start when it's hot and coolant leaks sometimes.(head gasket?)Search and rescue and a ambulance were at the store on the way by and there was also a lot of cars there this morning when I went to town.someone lost or something?

Liquid wrench showed up on thanksgiving.was on his way back from the ft.Sure nice to see him.much smokin' and drinkin'.he had to catch the ferry back to the islands.
pat alton penny came out from town.clem pascal were up at mom's as well.got pascal to take me to town to spend my gst the next day.we stopped at jimmy's on the way home an he laid an electric stove on me.has been raining for days now.on the last of the 60 right now.will try to remember to post here more often.gotta piss so caio for now.
