autumn, fall
From a former album, I thought I'd try the new widget. Take a look at Deb's blog to learn how. It is easy. If I can do it, anyone can.

autumn, fall, dawn, places
Fall
Fall has fallen in our laps,
quite a feast befalls our ‘happenstance’,
quickly passing, wind-whipped unsold wheat...
Till winter passes to spring and spring springs again
to summer's blessed heat...
and we realize that nothing's seemed chance
was really that...
in backwards glance...

grace, winter, fall, love
...

Around the lake I saw a love from long, long ago,...
The wind so loud, it gushed forth
a coming spring and,
Lo- sweet, encouraging, mild,
Yet, distinctive scent--
Wisteria, I only wishful know,
but lilac’s waft was evident.
How could it be, me sought, just now?
As autumn runs out summer by force
and winter’s fierceness, comes, no doubt,
to bring confession’s sure remorse…
But maybe only this for me,
Perfume will carry on the breeze,
the snowflakes only kiss my face
'til season spring meet me with grace?
Ah, this scent was just for me.
Lilacs strewn--
a lilac hewn,
and carried on the breeze…

snow, blow, softly, fall
...

Snow fall softly,
Fall on me--
Wind blow gently,
Breathe on me--
Breathe new life
on this dead tree.

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (Psalm 1:1)
But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. (Psalm 1:2)
And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. (Psalm 1:3)
KJV
When my husband and I were selling real estate, I started my cold calling days by memorizing Psalms. Our partnership didn't continue for a long time, in retrospect it was good for us and our household that we got out of the business. But the few Psalms I memorized stayed with me. When I hear them recited, I remember something fondly about those days. I used my dad's little 'catechism' book, dated July 15, 1928. I take a closer look and see it is entitled, Evangelical Lutheran HYMN-BOOK I grew up attending a Lutheran church... that's never been the draw for me, though. As long as it's a Bible teaching place of worship... anyway, these were verses I had memorized from the first Psalm came to mind as I jotted this poem today and found this picture from last winter. It is a very cold night here in Minnesota.
