It's been a long time

,

It has been a really long time since I had blogged here. I guess the last time that I was here was after my heart attack in 2009. Life has been hectic all these years and as always, I am busy with work. Right now I am also busy with the renovation of my new house and if everything goes well I should be able to move in by 16.09.2012.

Below is the picture of my new house after the renovation.

Feel free to write to me.

Recovering at home

, ,

Yes,its been more than a month since I was discharged from the Hospital from my surgery (heart attack)and my last trip to see the Surgeon on 17th October 2009 was good.He informed me that my heart is ok, my lungs are ok, and my wounds(the incision) are ok too, so in other words I am recovering well.

Those were sweet words to listen to especially if you had gone through what I did, for a moment I thought it was my last days on this big blue planet when I had my heart attack. I guess it is not so fast for me the kick the bucket and I am glad that things worked out for the better. I believe there is a reason for everything that happens and there are no accidents in this planet. By having this heart attack, now I am on a strict regimen of exercise and diet, healthy living....otherwise when would I ever disciple myself.

My birthday is just around the corner, and I am glad that I am able to celebrate my 49th year of existence on 29th October 2009.

What a month it was...I had a heart attack...

, ,

It all happened on 06.09.09 and my life came to a standstill....I was having a heart attack at my work site on a Sunday at 9.30 a.m. I just felt uneasy and couldn't get into the site. So I went to a Clinic and the Doctor after examining me and after doing an ECG told me to get admitted to a Heart Specialist Hospital immediately as he told me "you are in a middle of a heart attack or heading for a major one". What do I do?

A sudden jolt from the sky and am I prepared to die just yet? Anyway I drove to the specialist Hospital and got myself admitted, I had informed my wife who was 400 km away from the place where I work. I asked the Doc in charge, when can I check out? And he told me that I don't know what shape I am in and I am going to be grounded for a long time.

Well after I got stabilized I got myself transferred by an ambulance to Subang Jaya Medical Centre nearer to my house and family. It was one helluva expensive ride and I had 2 paramedics and my wife travelling along, I slept through the journey.

In Subang Medical, I was undergoing all kind of test and the Angiogram told us what I had....3 Blocks Arteries and 1 was 100%. So Angioplasty is out of the question and I had to undergo a CABG Triple bypass heart surgery on 17.09.09 by Dato' Dr. Rozali. I was in safe hands as this surgeon had operated on our PM and he did a good job.

I was discharged one week after the operation and now I am at home resting, and all I can say is "Thank God"...I got to see another day....and I have a new lease of life....

Quotes of the Week

"To lead people, walk beside them... As for the best leaders, the people do not notice their existence. The next best, the people honor and praise. The next, the people fear; and the next, the people hate. When the best leader's work is done the people say, 'We did it ourselves'." --Lao Tzu

"Money like health, love, happiness, and all forms of success that you want to create for yourself is the result of living purposefully. It is not a goal unto itself." --Dr. Wayne Dyer

"Strange is our situation here upon earth. Each of us comes for a short visit, not knowing why, yet sometimes seeming to divine a purpose. From the standpoint of daily life, however, there is one thing we do know: that man is here for the sake of other men." --Albert Einstein

Transform The World, Start From Within

Discourse: Sadhguru

In every human being, there is an aspiration to become better, more loving and more concerned about one another and the planet. But people are trying to work towards it from the wrong end. People are trying to be loving, they are trying to be good.
When you look at yourself, if you are happy and joyful, naturally you are a very loving, generous, wonderful human being. This is true for everybody. On the other hand, when you are in a state of unhappiness, frustration or any other sense of unpleasantness within yourself, you may be nasty. There is no point trying to be loving, trying to be pleasant to somebody else.
When you are feeling pleasant, you are naturally pleasant to everyone around you. The fundamental thing that human beings have to work towards is to make themselves truly joyful and blissful. Trying to produce good human beings has never really worked. When people are joyful, they are all wonderful human beings. Joy is the best insurance against all evil.
People will always find ways to subvert values, morality and ethics. But when you are very joyful, when you are very pleasant within yourself, you are naturally nice to everyone around you. So, my whole work is to make human beings truly blissful.
Spirituality does not mean going away from life. Spirituality means becoming alive in the fullest possible way so you are not just alive on the surface, you are alive to the core. If you look at how full of life and joyful you were when you were five years of age and how alive and joyful you are today, has the level gone up or gone down?
For most people, it has gone down. It need not be so. With age, physical agility may go down but the level of joy and sense of being alive need not go down. If your level of joy and aliveness is going down, it is as if you are committing suicide in instalments. This happens because you only focus on certain aspects of life, but without including every aspect, you cannot live a full life.
Unfortunately, most of the time, belief systems are passing off as spirituality. The moment you believe something, if you believe “this is it”, you are bringing a certain degree of rigidity into the very life process that you are. This is not spirituality.
The spiritual process is always a quest, a seeking; that is why when you say, “I’m on a spiritual path,” you say “I’m a seeker.” When you say “I’m religious,” you say “I’m a believer.” There is a significant difference, because believing means you have assumed something that you do not know; seeking means you have realised that you do not know, which brings an enormous amount of flexibility.
Whenever you say, “I do not know something,” you are flexible. Whenever you think, “I know it,” you become rigid. This rigidity is not just in attitude; it percolates into every aspect of your life. This rigidity is also the cause of an enormous amount of suffering in the world.
How human beings are, that is how the society will be. So, creating human beings who are flexible and willing to look at everything rather than being stuck in their ideas and opinions definitely makes for a different kind of society. And the very energy that such human beings carry will influence everything around them.

Quotes of the Week

"When you are inspired by some great purpose, some extraordinary project, all your thoughts break their bonds: Your mind transcends limitations, your consciousness expands in every direction, and you find yourself in a new, great, and wonderful world. Dormant forces, faculties and talents become alive, and you discover yourself to be a greater person by far than you ever dreamed yourself to be." --Patanjali

"You will recognize your own path when you come upon it, because you will suddenly have all the energy and imagination you will ever need." --Jerry Gillies

"Wise and strong is he who leaves his heart open and searches without fear." --The Monna

I'm employed

Yes... I got another job with the same pay and perks as my present job. Thank God for the miracle and the only snag is that I have join this company by the 16th of June 2009 and my notice period is up to 01st July 2009. Looks like I have to go for a pay cut and I can't afford to miss this opportunity as this is my dream job. I would be on a 6 months contract but I guess it shouldn't be a problem as I just want to get out from my present company.

I'm so happy today.

Man lynched for ‘stealing’ cellphone
TIMES NEWS NETWORK

Sangareddy: A youth was tied to a tree and beaten to death for allegedly stealing a cellphone at Bachepally village in Kalheru mandal of Medak district late on Tuesday night.
The body of the accused, Vadla Kistaiah (28), was found tied to a neem tree close to his house early on Wednesday by some passers-by, who immediately alerted the police.
Sources said three women and three men went to Kistaiah’s house when he was asleep, dragged him out and tied him to the tree. They then launched a brutal attack on him, beating him up with sticks. Even as he was writhing in pain, the women threw chilli powder into his eyes. A police official said the attackers were in an inebriated state.
“Kistaiah might have died of repeated blows inflicted on him by the six villagers,” Medak DSP Bhaskar Reddy said. Kistaiah reportedly stole a cell phone a week ago and vanished from the village. He returned on Tuesday evening and promised to pay the cost of the stolen phone to the owner.
“But the attackers rejected the offer and beat him to death,” a police official said. There were no bleeding injuries on the victim. “Kistaiah’s pleas to spare his life fell on deaf ears,” a source said. According to the DSP, Kistaiah was a petty thief.
A case has been registered against the six attackers in Siragapur police station of Narayankhed circle, under whose limits Bachepally village falls. “The six attackers locked their houses and fled after killing the youth. We have launched a manhunt for the culprits,” the DSP added.
