Many ways to pray

Once, years ago, I found myself walking to a friend's house with a burning question on my mind.

"How do you pray?"

Luckily, she wasn't home.

So for years now, that question has accompanied me most of my steps and breaths. Past the grandmother tree near that friend's house. Stopping to listen to the sound of church bells in France. Davening at shul or in the shade of the Rockies. Pausing for a moment before inhaling lunch, or stopping to savor each and every bite of cherries ripe from the trees.
So which position is juxta?

A friend's pictures of California, New York, and Wisconsin inspired me to take my camera out on a walk to capture glimpses of the beauty I see here every day.

Although all the welcome signs here say "Alabama the Beautiful," most people have a fairly distorted view of what the state looks like. So, here are some images to shake up some of those wrong perceptions.
