Introduction
Inspired by the growing number of requests of StumbleUpon Social Network, Melo Bichuetti and DrLaunch™ started a research to develop a tool that soon would receive both endorsement from Opera Software ASA and StumbleUpon, helping their customers enjoy the best of both worlds.
The first attempt was a working-in-progress menu, which Melo Bichuetti created under the Creative Commons GPL license and released only for a short time and testing purposes. Immediately after the great feedback from equally users and developers, a team from My Opera Community opened a collaborative project named My Opera StumbleUpon Team.
Following Opera tradition in safety and standard measures, the team assigned a project that would use a native technology created by Opera Software ASA, one widget, which later our product engineer, Simon Houston, named as My Opera StumbleUpon Widget.
Working on an Opera widget demanded time and experience, and thanks to our developers, you will experience the most secure way to stumble ever.
The team had the opportunity to collaborate in an engine, which ownership and proprietary license belongs to Opera Software ASA that not only is safer, faster, improved, and reliable than StumbleUpon original engine, but also will bring the best StumbleUpon experience ever for you Opera Web Browser user.
