Cathode Ray Tube, CRT, Overheating, iMac G3 400
OK. I had the imac on all morning (8 something to 4) messing with it on the internet. I shut it off cause my lady's dad got home and sister got home and HOLY SHIT THE iMac was as hot as a 360 case!!! I guess it is because there is no fan inside it. I am probably going to have to put a fan in it, but I can't use the desk fan we have to cool it after use, cause it STRANGELY makes the screen jiggle when you turn it on. It looks funny but can't be good for it. Yes, the fan being turned on and near the screen makes the screen jiggle like jello. I think it is cause of CRT. I think also in about 4 years, the thermal grease will be dried out on the processor heatsink (The thermal grease makes it so there is a layer between the heatsink that sits on the processor or something like that) and it would need to be re greased which is a pain in the ass for that computer cause it's REALLY DANGEROUS also because of CRT. CRT contains voltages that can stop your heart. I am too scared to open that scheisse from the top where the crt is LOL but it was getting REALLY HOT. Maybe THAT is why it was going slow!!! Processor might have been overheating, not because of a software update! der der i have to mod it to get like 5 fans in that shite LOL. What would be nice would be a mod for it to make it have LCD instead of CRT. Maybe I could look into THAT.

Drums, Distortion pedal, Skype, Music
...
Today I found a skype headset in our electronics department! As of hearing great ratings, I purchased it. I also got a "Grunge" distortion pedal a couple weeks ago. Both of them are simply Rockin'! I will be writing more songs and maybe the pedal will help in solos. It sounds great when I put it through our surround sound speakers with the guitar. I'm currently playing lizzy's guitar. It's not really too great, just a knock off stratocaster, but when you put it through the direct line in, it sounds crystal clear. Amazing how good you can make off brand guitars sound. I really wish I could get my bass here. Maybe I could send my parents money to ship it here. That would be awesome. I miss them, and buster too. I also miss the bass, lol. I'm trying to get more songs lined up, but I'm currently having writer's block. I'm even having trouble with my Drum n Bass songs! it looks like I will have to invest in a electronic drum set some time in the near future, maybe in a few checks, so I can add drums to my recordings again. I left my drum set at my Grandma Canarille's house with NO STICKS! haha that way nobody can beat the hell out of it, but I also didn't really get to play it one last time before I left for Maryland. I really am starting to get homesick and I miss my family terribly, including my much loved dog, Buster. I hope he stays around long enough to see me next Christmas. It makes me want to cry a awful lot sometimes.

Mac OS, OS X, Mac, 10.4 Tiger
...
I recently purchased a iMac G3 on ebay. It's a ruby one, comes with keyboard mouse and power cord, with 384MB of ram, 10GB hard drive, and a 400MHz Processor. It runs Tiger! 10.4.6! How awesome, and it comes TOMORROW! I am about to scheiße all out the window from all the excitement. The cool thing is that I have red and white gel candles and they are the same colors as my new iMac! I am so happy that I finally got a apple computer. I will post unboxing pictures tomorrow.

External Hard drive, Wii, Wal Mart, Shirts
...
kick ass! I am posting this from our Wii. If you guessed right, yep, I'm in Maryland now. lots of cool things have happened lately. First of all, since I only have a 40 GB hard drive, I invested in an external! It is a black 160 GB Western Digital passport. Mom got me a 1 GB stick of ram for my laptop for my birthday and also a cool mp3 player. Last night, me and Liz bought 2000 wii points so I got Super Mario lost levels, and I'm waiting for her to get home from work so she can pick some games to buy. I also got 2 new shirts which are very nice. The only things that are going wrong in my life are my laptop giving me a BSOD at least 2 times a day, and Lizzy's puppy is a pain in the ass sometimes. We were going to buy bikes but we discovered that we have no place to put them. Other than blowing money on useless things, I applied at the local Wal-mart so they should be calling me back within the next week. We went to the local music store and they had the electric drum set turned on so of course Liz had to drag me out before i played it TOO long. Oh, I also got a new video cable for my dreamcast, but it has S video so I can't use it on lizzy's Tv. Also, I got Duke Nukem Time to Kill, Super Magnetic Neo, Sonic Adventure, Jet Grind Radio, Crazy taxi 2, Syphon filter, Klonoa, Crazy Chase, Munch's Oddysee, and Chu Chu Rocket. The last 4 are for GBA. That's pretty much all for now.

Music, Wifi, laptop, Windows
...
Hey guys guess what! I got a new computer. Well, it's new to me. It is a dell Latitude 120L that I traded my emachines with my buddy Jay. I have always wanted a dope laptop. There is even room to put in more memory. Woo hoo! I am posting from my new laptop now. It is very exciting. I am so burned out from earlier today. I had to burn about 20 dvd data discs of all of my music, software, and pictures. Wowies. That is a lot of GB. just to give you a picture, each dvd is 4.7 GB. So if you do the math, you should get the point. Even though I have downgraded my hard drive space from 160GB to 40GB, I have new perks of bringing my computer everywhere without a hassle. Also, the wireless card in this thing is unbeleivable. I also got a fresh install of windows xp on it! And yes, if you're wondering it is legit

This thing sure hauls ass for only having 512MB. Even though I have moved from an AMD processor to an Intel, and with no SSE3, it sure seems faster than the Emachines desktop. I won't be able to take my 15" flatpanel with me to Maryland because momma says she wants it back when I move so she can dual screen. I dont get it. How can she dualscreen with no adapter and only one graphics card with one VGA port? Interesting. In other news, me and Jay recorded a new song today, and of course, it is a must listen. I think it's going to make us rich. It's sooooo awesome.

It's 6:10 in the morning and I'm still not tired. I haven't had any coffee either. This song is great. I will most likely post it on my lastfm profile.

NES, Screwdrivers, Nintendo Entertainment System, Playstation
...
Woo hoo. I found all of my little screwdrivers for my set! it is complete:). I was digging in my tote I have in my closet and also found a couple of NES cartriges. I still haven't found my original copy of Resident Evil for playstation. I am guessing it is still in our storage facility. If it isn't, then I have no idea:(. I am still unable to use my dreamcast because I can't seem to find the video cable. I also found old letters from lizzy which reading was pretty neat.

iPhoto ripoff, San Andreas, Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition
For some reason, I feel as if I am not going to be laying in bed playing San Andreas from my computer all day. Well I found a program that looks a little bit like a rip off of iPhoto. It's not nearly as good but it helps me organize my pictures a little better. It's called Adobe Album Starter Edition. I think it's free...but you have to register. I think it came with my update of Adobe Reader. I would have to say it IS a nice program but iPhoto is 1000000000x better.
