How to blog to My.Opera from your Ubuntu desktop

Using Gnome-Blog

1. Install the gnome-blog applet, the easiest way is copy and paste in a terminal (Applications menu > Accessories > Terminal)

sudo apt-get install gnome-blog

and then add to the panel (right clic on the panel > Add to the panel > Publish to blog)

2. configure your applet according to this screenshoot:


On this screen you need to enter some information, the most important line is http://my.opera.com/USERNAME/blog/api/

3. now just clic on the icon Blog and start blogging from the ubuntu desktop!

Using BloGTK

1. Install BloGTK:

sudo apt-get install blogtk

send me your configuration: ubuntu version and also run ir from the terminal and send me the copy of the output (e.g: Applications >> Accesories >> Terminal >> write "blogtk" or "gnome-blog-poster"

How to use Quote function:

  1. Select some text
  2. Click on the Quote link
