A little heartbeat!

I can't believe how cool it was to hear the heartbeat of my new little baby for the first time! (Some of you are nodding your heads in understanding.) I think I'm in for an emotional roller coaster far beyond anything I could have imagined. I feel like I need to describe it in detail so everyone can understand--some of you already do. Billions of people have been through exactly what I'm doing, it's the most common thing in the world. Children are conceived and born by the millions every day...but this one's mine and it's different.
