When you're happy, you have a tendency to make a promise that you can't keep.

When you're angry, you may say something that you don't really mean it and consequently hurt the other person's feelings.

Agreed! I've been here before. On both ends actually. I've said things that were hurtful when I was angry but the difference is, the person I said it to; I meant it lol! I've had things promised to me and not kept. That sucks.

I try not to say things that I don't mean....sometimes its inevitable @ the heat of the moment.

The picture of the father is a sample of the condition. Some people say that parents should only educate their kids, and not yell at them. When parents are angry, they may yell and say the wrong or inappropriate words to their kids.

I think a lot of us have said things that we don't really mean at the heat of the moment, Amanda. I guess it's just human nature.
