Today's Haiku

Words, these empty words...
On this paper they collapse
And die as mere words.

Voices, void voices
Wander about unheard and
Lost, stilled hushed voices...

Today's Haiku

The bliss of mid-June
Will terribly be missed when
Classes start next week!!

Some haikus by me

A haiku is a seventeen-syllable verse form, arranged in three lines of five, seven and five syllables. Haikus usually express a sudden thought or event or mood or ideal. It’s just a spark of words lit by sudden inspiration. Here are some 3-liner haikus written by me:
(Most of these are just copied and pasted from the literature network forums, which has a “shared haiku game” running in it. The game involves writing a haiku starting with the last line of the last poster.)

Till my heart is purged,
Deliverance from this vile
World, is not to be.

All the Life in me
Reverberated anew,
And Heaven drew close.

Time has twisted hands
Those which crush the yesteryears
With force and fury.

Beware, oh trav’ler,
Boulevards of rhapsodies--
Before you they break.

Know not where it ends--
Journey of a sojourner,
Skyline smiles at me.

This golden ev’ning,
Let it please last forever,
Let me feel the gold!

And here’s a poem by me written in the haiku form:

Of all the heavens,
Let me cherish the one drop
Of dew in a leaf.

Lucid as it is,
Hanging by the very edge,
Swaying timidly;

Scented with autumn,
Mirroring the cosmic world
In its tiny frame.

Limning my feelings,
Like a never-shed tear,
Or unspoken word…

Heaven mine! let me
Once more to your wondrous self
Admit adorance.
