As I don't drink, I go rarely to pubs.
But, yesterday Dim and I went to a pub as we read that there would be free live music. I am not particularly a music fan, but just looking for a change.
This is the bar area. The stage is at the other end of the bar counter. There was a quite lot of people.
There were three singers appearing that night. We listened all of them, although not all through. The second singer called Nathan Bennett was good, but the 1st one was pathetic and the third one so so.
To me definitely positive was the total ban on smoking. Before the pubs were infested with cigaret smoke and they were not a kind of place I wanted to hung around.
Anyway, as it was a real pub, it was selling specialist ales. This is ale menu. As I don't drink, I convinced Dim to buy half a pint.
We have never tried ale before. It was not of room temperature, and not very bubbly. Less bitter than lagar and slightly sweet.
It was an interesting night: we will go again.
