EOC - only days to go!

The preparations for the EOC have all been done, now the fun can start!
The last weeks I have used for a block of good training and for some special preparations for the European Champs. Together with the EOC-Team I spent a long weekend in Hungary, training in terrain relevant for the EOC. I did some good trainings there, but I also found some things on the technical side to work on, like to be really careful with the attack point. It was also a very positive and nice team-weekend, so that made my motivation for the last hard trainings even better.
Back home I did a short recovery periode, then started a 10-day-block of quality training. This consisted of a lot of harder running, like 3x track-training, 3x 40-60' in a 4:20-4:50 pace and 1 sprint session in Graz. Most of the trainings have gone really well, only the sprint in Graz was a bit of a drama. Tired legs and tired head is a no-go combination, but it made fun anyway. And at least it got me back on the ground again concerning sprint and forced me to do some more map studies the last days...
Today was the last real training, now I will do only some jogging and stretching and some map work at home. Saturday we head off to Riga and I am really looking forward to the challenges waiting there! I will run all competitions, including the men's relay (in the second team;)).
