the sunny side of life

Only two more to go.

Only two more hard sessions, besides some skiing and easy running and then this block is finished!
The last weeks have passed with a continuous change between long, slow sessions and some really hard ones (every second day) and slowly I start looking forward to a short rest period.. The track sessions has pushed me on the limit when it comes to staying the speed, but somehow I like it that way. Strange that you can actually like the feeling of lactic acid pouring out of every cell you got... The runs on competition speed in the forest have been pretty though due to the snow, but last week I think we succeeded in using that as an extra motivation. Thanks to Anita for being a great motivator and speed-maker!
I have tried to do as many of the longer session as possible on the xc-skies and last Sunday we had just perfect weather so it was more enjoying than training:). And the longer the day, the more other orienteers I met on the slopes!

Next week it is again time for 5 days of the osteopathic education, which means that I will put in a rest-period from Wednesday to Sunday noon, only doing some short and easy runs and some very short sessions of core-strength. After that we will put in some weeks with increased traininghours - back to basic endurance training so to say and then it is time to head off for Portugal! I do love the winter, but some days in the south just makes the winter even nicer!

New year, new photos35km vs. 4km - heaven vs. hell.
