WOC09: Chapter I

Yesterday evening, after a 5h drive, we arrived in Miskolc and the WOC-feeling is rising fast. The evening we used to accustom ourselves with an easy jog, the first meal and the welcome briefing with the trainers. Our team is definitely in a high-spirit, so my stomach muscles got a bit of extra training too:) .

Today it was time to get out in the forest again. Ok, map was more than well-known, but it was beautiful! They had chosen only the nice part of the area, not too stony, no stinging nettles at all and temperature around 20 degrees C, which was about perfect. They hadn't put out the controls for the long qualification model event yet (is in the same area as the middle q model event), but the pre-markings were easy to see, it didn't matter at all. I did a really good training, catching some needed self-confidence out there when body and mind both proved to be working like it should!

Dinner has been done (we've all ready learned, you need to be an early guest at the meals if you a) want the menu to be still complete or b) not want to wait for 20 minutes in front of the door), relaxing has been done (well, more or less, at least) and now it is coffee time. After that we'll have a look at the tecnical model event, but before all of that I need to get the guys one floor up to get their voice a bit down. Holy mother, how can you scream "Maaaammmmiiiii" that loud after passing the age of 3???
