Vietnamese Tet Festival (Lunar New Year)

Traditional Vietnamese Tet (Lunar New Year) is the most important festival of the year. It is a week-long event in late January or early February when everything becomes very difficult. Prices are raised radically and all the services like hotels, transportation are commonly closed down. If traveling in this period, you should have a good schedule and preparation, few month in advance is quite necessary.

It seems to be inconvenient for foreigners to travel in Tet holidays. In the North of VN, people close their shops until 6th Jan of the traditional new year. But things are different in the South, shops are opened day and night.

Another difference between Tet holidays in the North and the South is the weather. It's so cold in the North, while it's terrible hot in the South. Some guys got sick when traveling by air from the North to the South because the temperature changes too quickly.

I'm living and working in HN and I see the atmosphere in Tet holidays is so wonderful, although at that time it is really cold outside and the streets are calm. But if you come to my house and celebrate the new year party, you can feel the Tet flavor and the warmth of friendship ^0^.

Cả nhóm bạn cùng đi chơi Noel thì đông vui thật, nhưng tìm 1 địa điểm lý thú thì hơi khó. Mình mách cho bạn 1 địa điểm nè, chỉ cần mang giỏ xách và giấy tờ tùy thân là có thể tham dự lễ hội Noel hoành tráng tại GALAXY NGUYỄN DU. Còn chần chờ gì nữa bà con ơi!!!!!
