The Light Side

It rained when we were at Silverstone. This was fine for us as we were able to sit in the covered stands, however for the drivers it was quite treacherous - particularly for the younglings in their Ginettas, where there was pretty much a spin every lap of the race.

I managed to catch a BTCC smash in action. It involved Matt Jackson in his BMW. It started off with a lot of hustling going on in the pack as they came round Luffield



He then lost it and spun and was smacked by Chilton in his Honda



ripping off the front bumper and causing him to spin some more



Once he'd come to a stop, he headed off round the course and raced to the end (getting a cheer from the crowd every time he went past). Incredible.
