Our neighbours invited us around to theirs for a Christmas tea yesterday. We had a great time chatting and eating - they put on a delicious spread

Farewell Christmas lunch

, ,

It's a sad time at work at the moment: most of the people I have worked with for about 8 years or so are leaving work due mainly to redundancy :frown:

I was up in Livingston and Glasgow Thursday mainly for handover meetings, as I'm not being made redundant having managed to get one of only two jobs available. So we all went out for lunch, which was really a Christmas lunch, but all things considered it was as much a farewell lunch...

Christmas Fair cake sale

, , , ...

Last night it was our local primary school's Christmas Fair. Whilst I wandered round wearing my Parish Councillor badge (in an effort to raise the profile of the PC - although people seem to think I was a member of the PTA!) Julia and the Guides raised £100 selling cakes, and of course my niece paid a visit to Father Christmas

Christmas Day

, ,

We were up at about 06:30. Even though the kids are teenagers we still wake up early on Christmas day - I'm too excited to sleep  My son was up anyway, so it was just my daughter who needed waking up.

We all opened our stockings, had some breakfast and got the Turkey cooking. We watched some of Julia's Alan Carr DVD and then opened the tree presents

We then had a really tasty dinner

which included setting fire to home made Christmas pud

We're now chilling in front of the telly playing with our Christmas gifts and relaxing

Happy Christmas everyone
