The Light Side

Julia and I went down to Sandbanks for a walk last night. In the end we caught the ferry across to Studland.



We went for a walk along the beach and stopped for a coffee



before heading back to the ferry and then heading home. Thursday nights are firework night so it was pretty busy both in terms of people turning up on foot as well as boats in the sea. In fact at one point it seemed like a whole armada of yachts turned up.

It was my mum's birthday yesterday



so we all went out for a family meal in Tadley near my sister's.



The meal was great and afterwards we went to my sister's house, played a round of Uno and had tea and of course some birthday cake.



We then had some fireworks




followed by sparklers (or sprinklers as one of the kids called them) where the kids wrote messages in the dark





The last one there being "to infinity and beyond"
