Lulworth, sea, Julia, me
In the summer Julia and I went down to Lulworth Cove one morning. I of course went along with my camera (this time my waterproof one). Julia even went into the sea!

and whilst she was there took a photo from the sea (what's the point in having a waterproof camera if you're not going to get it wet) and took a photo of me from the sea

birthday, Maureen, me, Lulworth
...
A few weekends back (weekend of the 22nd and 23rd of August) was a right proper birthday weekend. On the Friday we celebrated my mother-in-law's 70th with a party
Then on Saturday it was my turn - my 40th. I was being miserable and didn't want to do anything, so we chilled at home in the morning, went to Lulworth (with my new camera
) for the afternoon and watched a DVD in the evening
And then on Sunday was my mother-in-law's actual birthday, so we we had a family meal and went down to the beach (catching a bit of the Bournemouth Airshow on the way)
A thoroughly good weekend - not bad for someone who didn't want to do much

me, nose
I'd like you to think that it was some gallant act of bravery, or perhaps defending mine of my families honour I ended up with a smacked nose like this...
...but the truth is I walked into our front porch door and cracked my nose and forehead - ouch!!! In fact the photo doesn't do any justice to the injuries as the flash has whited out the swelling
but there is an impressive imprint of my nose and forehead in the glass

Yesterday was my birthday - thanks to all those who sent me birthday wishes. Julia, Milly and I went to a golf range and wacked a load of golf balls which was fun.

On father's day, for some reason I have yet to work out (other than it is fun of course), we encouraged the kids to walk around the table via adults' laps. Here's a picture of my niece using my dad's nose to help guide her round

I guess it wasn't so funny when I tried
and it ended with me hiding under the table with the kids

I'm out of action at the moment, with a bad back. I think it must have been from loading a heavy table into the car, but this morning I could hardly walk and it took about 4 hours before I could stand up straight(ish).
