The Light Side

We recently hosted a potluck pudding party - the idea is you each bring a pudding and then everyone eats it Not ideal when you're on a diet!!!

Julia, Milly and I had a lovely weekend away in Bath and Somerset. We travelled up yesterday to Bath, stopping off in Shaftesbury before hand.



After lunch we headed to Saltford (just past Bath) to drop off our stuff at our overnight lodgings and then headed back into Bath to look round the shops.



In the evening we went to the local golf club for a 50th birthday party of a chap we met on our recent cruise. He made us feel very welcome and we had a great time.



Sunday, we met up with Lewis again for a coffee at a riverside pub.



After that we headed to Street and spent the afternoon looking round the Clerks Outlet village.

My daughter had a Hallowe’en party last night. I think they enjoyed themselves - there was certainly lots of scream but I think that was teenage excitement rather than being scared. We prepped the house accordingly, including a bloody keep out sign and various decorations round the house:

Marcus and Nancy (over from Aus) held a gathering of their friends and family at the Litten Tree in Bournemouth Saturday night. It looked like they had a great time catching up with all the people they've not seen since they moved out to Sydney 2 and half (or so) years ago.

We had a little party out ours last night. There was about 16 to 18 of us at one point. We played Cranium, saw the new year in and then piled upstairs to look at the fireworks across Poole Harbour.
