Poole Fireworks

A couple of weeks ago we went down to Poole Quay with some friends, had fish and chips and jumped onto one of the harbour tour boats. We sailed round Brownsea Island and stayed on the boat to see the fireworks

Tuesday night is bike night

Every Tuesday night it is bike night down at Poole Quay. So the kids and I headed down there to take a look at the bikes. It was a dull grey evening that was threatening rain, so there weren't so many bikers about.

Sandbanks, poole, Kites

When we were at Sandbanks the other day we had a go at flying our kites...

but unfortunately the wind kept dropping and blowing in different directions, so there was lots of dragging along the beach and running with the kite to get it airborne

Julia took this photo. It's of an upside down "swan" pedalo in Poole Park. With the rightside up pedalo in the water at the top of the photo it looks like it is floating mid-air with the former acting as its shadow (if that makes sense).

Guide Fireworks

Poole Harbour, poole, Julia, fireworks ...

Julia's taken the Guides on an end of term boat trip round Poole Harbour tonight, finishing up with watching the Poole fireworks. I had to got a Parish meeting so couldn't go along, but managed to just catch (hence the wobble in the photo below) them from our bedroom window with my long-lens (although I heard them long before I got a chance to see them)
