South Downs native goat

, , ,

Whilst wandering the wild streets of Shirrell Heath in the South Downs I walked along a footpath in the search of the South Downs. On the way, I came across this area made into little paddocks for horses - one of them had a mini hill and these goats stood watching me, I'm guessing they were someones pets.

weekend away

Julia and I are enjoying a lovely weekend away. We're staying at a hotel in the South Downs (east of Southampton, north of Portsmouth).

We got here last night and had a lovely dinner at Greens Restaurant and Bar in Wickham Square. The food was really good, but a little pricey.

This morning I've been for a wander round the hotel grounds and local village, whilst Julia has had some beauty treatments. The hotel grounds boasted a "trim trail" which I avoided, and a woodland walk

It's great for the two of us to get away and thanks to my mother in law for house, animal and kid sitting.

Probably a visit to chichester this afternoon and maybe some swimming in the hotel swimming pool.
