THUS Regulatory Reunion

I worked in Glasgow Wednesday and Thursday this week. Wednesday night a number of the old THUS regulatory team got together for some drinks and a meal. There was also some farewell presents for Domhnall and Richard.

Farewell Christmas lunch

, ,

It's a sad time at work at the moment: most of the people I have worked with for about 8 years or so are leaving work due mainly to redundancy :frown:

I was up in Livingston and Glasgow Thursday mainly for handover meetings, as I'm not being made redundant having managed to get one of only two jobs available. So we all went out for lunch, which was really a Christmas lunch, but all things considered it was as much a farewell lunch...

My flight to Manchester was delayed by 1 hour 40 minutes this morning due to a broken down plane. Fortunately I was still able to get to the office in time for my meetings but would have preferred a lie in, had I known it was going to be late!

Just hope my flight home isn't delayed - I'm getting home late as it is :frown:

Hordes

You can tell that the summer holidays are here (well you can't tell from the weather - although it was nice in London yesterday and is cloudy/sunny today), there are hordes and hordes of tourists in London.

I've attended meetings near London Bridge/London Tower area these last couple of days and it's a challenge not to get court in swarms of tourists, ducking and diving camera shots, and smiling for the ones where I don't duck enough
