Useless Ululations and Random Ruminations

Why is it that every time I sit to write my blog, I can't think of anything to write. I think of a million things to write when I've got no time to do so. Now, however, seated and relaxed and willing to write I can think of naught to say. I've no words rattling about dying to get out. I know I have ideas to write, but I find I cannot call them up.

I could speak of the American educational system. . . but I've nothing to say that isn't being bandied about all over the web anyway. I could speak on the American president, but who wants to think on such depressing topics? I could speak of my personal life, but I've been too busy to notice what's happening. So, of which should I speak?

I guess I could speak about the book I'm reading. I've been enjoying it.

When I quit smoking, over 2 years past, I had to quit reading. . . for the most part. During the last few months I've finally been able to rekindle my relationship with books, albeit in small portions and no marathon reads. However, I've recently been reading The Last Chronicles of Thomas Covenant the Unbeliever. I'm on book 2 of this most recent Stephen R. Donaldson series. It's another good read from Mr. Donaldson.

It's a bit nice to be reading again. The next step is to finish the Robin Hood series by another favorite Stephen R.: Stephen R. Lawhead.
