Police in suburban Philadelphia say a man fed up of children playing in his cul-de-sac blared a pornographic soundtrack to chase them off.

Irate neighbours told police they could hear the sexually explicit audio a block and a half away.

Police say Michael Buck faces a felony obscenity charge and two misdemeanours for the May 31 stunt at his upscale Phoenixville home.

The 27-year-old Buck has a preliminary hearing scheduled for next month. Detective Tom Goggin says Buck had filed one previous complaint about the neighbourhood children. He says the children clearly annoy Buck - but there's nothing criminal about playing outside.

Classical music would have chased them off even faster and just maybe the neighbours wouldn't have complained.

there IS something criminal about children playing outside, especially when they are annoying, trespassing little schizers!!

I hope he never has any of his own, because his lack of judgment would undoubtedly be passed on to his offspring.

I figure he should have played classical.

Reasons are simple:
1-he wouldn't be charged
2-the kids would have left a lot faster

I have a park behind my place, loads of kids day in and day out. Unlike this guy though I kind of like hearing all the laughter.

Now with the pool open back there, the laughter is punctuated with sighs of relief coming from parents.

I'm not too much into kids (yet), nor too much against them. Though I would point out that not all kids are nice and likeable to the hearing. There are some who aren't playing and laughing, but just yelling all the time. And when they are under your living room window, I am guessing you can get a bit annoyed by it.
Still trying to chase them away with "audio porn" is just plain wacky, and does point out the complete nut-job.

Kids don't bother me - teenagers do.

At least the ones out at 3:00 AM yelling and screaming. My biggest bitch with the kids these days isn't with the kids; more of a bitch against their parents.

Parents who aren't being parents, don't deserve to have kids. Think about it, you need a license to have a dog - yet any fool can be a parent.

Yes that is exactly the problem. You see so many kids yelling with no reason, and the parent is a few meters away and doesn't say a thing.
