world news, Beer, life, common sense
Sure I can - but only in Britain.
British beer drinkers found a measure of good news Tuesday amid a flood of economic downers: The pint won't have to be renamed.

After a long debate over whether the European Union would force pubs to serve beer by the half-litre, the European Parliament decided Tuesday to let Britain retain the pint, the mile and other imperial measurements.
Minister for Europe Caroline Flint said the agreement will save British companies additional labelling costs during troubled economic times.
She called it a "victory for common sense."
No that isn't her in the photo, that is Page 3 Girly
Gemma Atkinson giving it all a thumbs up.
I'm sure the folks at
Guiness are just as happy.
If I've got this right then, Britain is going metric, that leaves the U.S. as the only hanger on to the Imperial system. Wow times have sure changed.

world news, blonde, bimbo, paris hilton
It must be a slow news day or something. according to today's
London Sun PARIS HILTON yesterday said she was “living proof” blondes are not stupid.
That alone made me laugh.

Normally I don't bother with pseudo-celebs nor any other type of celebrity - this though was another of those "just too damn funny to pass up" moments.
Just for you - here's a few examples of her triumphs or what she considers smart moves.
I’m very intelligent. I’m capable of doing everything put to me. I’ve two records (both failures), I’ve launched a perfume (probably will fail) and I want my own hotel chain (will most likely fail). I’m the living proof that blondes are not stupid.”
No. Those things only prove that you found people dumb enough to bank on your name. So congratulations. In a village full of idiots, you’re the brightest.
Paris also swears that men are attracted to her personality and not her money. Which is partially true. If she’s talking about the raging slut part of her personality. Men like girls who are like that.

world news, history, music
On this day in history, December 10th, 1963 Louie Louie by The Kingsmen was on top of the charts.
Over the years a lot has been made out of such a simple tune, but nothing like the original trouble it caused when it was released.

I haven't forgotten about all the whacky news happening in the world. Quit the opposite actually, with all the doom and gloom predictions though it is fairly difficult to find much to laugh about.
So with great happiness, here's the news you should have been reading!

Seems the economic crisis around the world is really affecting Russians. According to a recent report consumption of the national drink vodka is at an all time low.

Stockpiles of the drink were six times higher at the start of the month than at the same time last year simply because factories are producing it faster than it is being drunk.
According to Pavel Shapkin, the president of the National Alcohol Association "People are having to save money, including on drinks, and this is connected to the impact of the financial crisis on people's disposable incomes,"
Disposable income? Shouldn't it be flushable income?
