Molting Giant White Knee Tarantula

, , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Yesterday I noticed my Giant White Knee Tarantula (Acanthoscurria Geniculata) lying on her back getting ready to molt. I discreetly set up my Nikon D40x camera to take photos of her every 40 seconds using a piece of software on my Mac called iStopMotion.

Amazing photos!
And what happened with her old skin?

I took it out of her tank and placed it in a box i have filled with the old skins from a couple of my tarantulas. I don't know why i started collecting their skins, i suppose it is so that i can compare the size of each of my tarantulas after every molt. Xx
