20091120 Oslo in the dark

Michael and I grabbed our cameras and tripods and went to Vigeland Park, Aker Brygge and Downtown to take some nice pictures. And I'd say we've been successful. I'm looking forward to seeing his pictures cause there are some really fancy ones
20091018 Horten

Thanks to Lisa we have been able to spend a great day in Horten. We spend much time enjoying the wonderful nature there, did some sightseeing (eg to Edvard Munch's summer residence), we had a Norwegian BBQ at the Oslofjord & waffles at her parent's house later.

All in all a perfect day due to Lisa's effort and the sunny weather. Tusen takk Lisa!

PS: The nature and the weather just presented Michael and me a wonderful opportunity to play with our DSLRs. We could have spent a lot more time taking pictures
20091002-05 Stavanger, Preikestolen

At the beginning of October we did a hiking trip to the Preikestolen near Stavanger. It was a really great weekend although the weather got worse the closer we came to the cliff
Well, it was sunny when we packed our stuff and got on the bus back to Oslo

PS: A bus with WiFi Nevertheless I had to take some pictures of the beautiful nature during the trip.

2009-09&10 Hurtigruten fra Trondheim til Tromsø

Nelly and I did the Hurtigruten from Trondheim to Tromsø. It was freaking cold but really impressive. So a recommendation for every one in our eyes And yes, there are a lot of elder people there, but you'll have enough space for yourself

ps: i'm sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, but they allow you to take the camera with you but no tripod and they have a really bad lighting but it should be enough to get a first impression

the holmenkollen ski jump is under construction at the moment for the fis nordic world ski championships in 2011 but nevertheless the view from up there is really nice.

the new opera house of oslo has been finished last year and is a really impressive building.

in the oslo bay there are a couple of islands which can be reached easily by public boats.

some international cooking in the evening. different coutries -> different meals but everything was just really tasty

One lovely thing here in Norway is the fact, that you can have your grill nearly everywhere. No "don't walk/sit... on the gras"

As the sun finally came back, I did my first sightseeing in Oslo. With my camera on the shoulder we went to Aker Brygge to get on the boat to see the Viking Ship Museum at Bygdøy. Later we had a really good coffee at the Åpent Bakeri, which we've run across.
