STICKY POST

what does YOUR opera look like?

, , ,

Inspired by Chris10an I had to take a screenshot of my Opera to show the world how I like it to be!

Let me inspire you to take a screenshot yourself and publish it in your blog!

Let me say that...

Another week is over and it's Friday again! So time for a new member of the week!

For me it has been a week with many congratulations and many page views. So let me thank all old and new visitors for having a look at thobi's :cheers:

How would it look like if you'd take a picture of yourself every day for about six years?
Well, I think nearly that way :wink:

Watch Noah K. Everyday -->

Well, not brandnew :whistle: but seen over 9.6 million times till now and I just read an article about it in a magazine. :smile:
But what's even better - and how else could it be - is the Simpsons parody. Just hilarious :D :jester:

Watch Homer Every Day -->

There's a nice blog - well, outside of my.opera *hm* but ok :wink: - about interesting and funny advertisments, campaigns and videos. Apart from that it's also book recommendations, web news and much more you can find there (but most of it 'only' in German). But see for yourself :smile:

member of the week

, , ,

It's Friday again and there are at least two ways to find out:
At first it's last day at work before weekend :wink:
Secondly there's a lucky person coronated with Opera's 'member of the week'-award! :star:

I'd lie if I'd say, that I haven't ever been imaging what it would be like to see my picture there once. But as there has been two Austrians awarded the last weeks as also because I didn't know why my blog should be special and, last but not least, as there are so many really good blogs out there, I shelved that idea. Homer: Doh!

So the surpise is at least bigger now and I'm feeling really honoured to see, that there needs to be something. :headbang: I hope the rest of you thinks so too and I'll try to even do better from now on! ;-)

THANKS a lot! :hat: :drunk:

jibjab - Election 2008: Time for Some Campaignin'

I saw this on Jay Leno's Night Show two days ago - the one with David Duchovny :D - and I think it's a really nice one :wink: Before I forget to say: I hope you've seen Californication :yes:

Where the Hell is Matt?

If you've been thinking your style of dancing is strange, you need to watch that video! Just great, funny ... simply wow :smile: But also enviable how many countries this man has visited already.

"NEW YORK: There are no weekend box office charts for online videos. But if there were, near or at the very top of the list right now might well be a four-and-a-half-minute video called 'Dancing', which more than four million people have viewed on YouTube, and perhaps another million on other sites, in the just over two weeks since it appeared. It is the online equivalent of a platinum hit, seeping from one computer to the next like a virus.

The title is not misleading. 'Dancing' shows a guy dancing: a big, doughy-looking fellow in shorts and hiking boots performing an arm-swinging, knee-pumping step that could charitably be called goofy.[...]"

International Herald Tribune: "'Dancing,' a near-perfect piece of Internet art"

4th of july or how the usa thinks about england

, , ,

Yesterday has been the 4th of July, the day the US celebrates its independence from good old Europe. Corresponding I found a video on SteveD's blog, which is really not bad at all (the video, but the blog too :wink: ). But see for yourself:
