Relating to the US elections 2008 I read an article today, with the headline "It ain't over 'till it's over". Well, it's been a while since all this preelecting and money collecting has been started. But the good thing is, it will be over in 5 days from now
Coming back to my own headline: There's this other version of the proverb quoted above which has it's origin in a story taking place "near" my home at the Rhine river. But read more at Wikipedia.

Let's change the topic now to something even more funny  I found this at Elias Yemreli's blog. I already knew it but also already forgot the answers again. But see for yourself, if you'd have the correct answers if you'd be asked!

Read more... to see how easy it would have been to answer those questions correctly!

Now, for those of you who've laughed at this poor man... you'd better see the answers first:

1- The Hundred Years' War lasted for 116 years, from 1337 to 1453.

2- Panama Hats are originally Ecuadorian.

3- The October Revolution is celebrated in November.

4- George VI's name was Albert which was changed to George after he ascended the throne.

5- The original Latin name for Canary Islands is Insularia Canaria, meaning 'Island of the Dogs'.

So, tell me now if you got them all right  and have a look at Elias' blog!
