Wer heute für den Kauf "inländischer" Waren eintritt, fordert spätestens morgen, nicht mehr bei "Ausländern" einzukaufen. Nicht Protektionismus, sondern unsozialer Nationalismus. Those advocating to buy "local" products will be demanding for not buying at the "foreigner's" by tomorrow at the latest. Not protectionism, but unsocial nationalism.

Sorry, I know, it's German again. But I think it's a really good article reminding of what demands for buying (only) local products - like "Buy American!", look for "Made in Britain" - could lead to. Not that it would be a bad idea to buy local products, but as the article tells, there are reasons why products from other countries get sold and should be bought. Political parties also use these chance - talking about the financial and economical crisis - to make a step to hostility towards foreigners. And this MUST NOT be possible, and must not be accepted!
It's Friday again and there are at least two ways to find out: At first it's last day at work before weekend Secondly there's a lucky person coronated with Opera's 'member of the week'-award!
I'd lie if I'd say, that I haven't ever been imaging what it would be like to see my picture there once. But as there has been two Austrians awarded the last weeks as also because I didn't know why my blog should be special and, last but not least, as there are so many really good blogs out there, I shelved that idea.
So the surpise is at least bigger now and I'm feeling really honoured to see, that there needs to be something. I hope the rest of you thinks so too and I'll try to even do better from now on! ;-)
Today I got mail. Again. But this time not Opera was the sender but the UEFA. And the package contained 4 tickets for the quarter finals in Vienna! Perhaps, and I hope so, it will be the game between Spain and the Netherlands. We will see!
Update: Well, it's not the Netherlands but the World Champion Italy But I won't complain
