Sooner I wrote about the greatest job in the world. 50 out of over 34.000 applicants have been chosen for the semi-last round. Today I saw the last German participant on TV and after that I watched her video at islandreefjob.com. I have to say, that I like it. Imagine yourself on an Island situated at the Great Barrier Reef. Sitting in the sun on a beautiful beach, diving at one of the most wonderful places on earth, flying around with the aerial postman, taking a boat trip to the nearest island, living in a villa, feeding some fish and cleaning YOUR private pool; and by the way getting paid about 80.000 EUR for six months. The Caretaker of the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef is a newly created position. There are a few minor tasks that need to be taken care of, but the most important duty is to report back to Tourism Queensland (and the world) and let us know what’s taking place on the Islands of the Great Barrier Reef.
