Relating to the US elections 2008 I read an article today, with the headline "It ain't over 'till it's over". Well, it's been a while since all this preelecting and money collecting has been started. But the good thing is, it will be over in 5 days from now 
Coming back to my own headline: There's this other version of the proverb quoted above which has it's origin in a story taking place "near" my home at the Rhine river. But read more at Wikipedia.
