About me
Man,this always catches me off guard at interviews. Since this is for fun and no one is going to read it, I shall be brutally honest. I grew up in the south side of Pittsburgh when the mills still churned out the world's steel. They folded in me senior year so I joined the Army after high school. I always wanted to be in the 101st since childhood. BIG $$$ bonus for infantry, airborne, and pathfinder. I was not the hardcore type but I muddled through. That included a stint in Central Anerica in the early 80s. For you kids out there, it was an exeptionally bad time to be there. Put meself through school, got married, had great kids, and let it all go to rot. AA hitch in the Army paid for college & then I had it ALL, including a habit. Trying to secretly kick it on my own was a disaster. I lost EVERYTHING including my freedom. With a firm program and a healthy amount of clean time, trying to make amends, build a life, and help the still suffering addict! Long-time MCSE. PROUD member of the KISS Army since 1976. NOTE* This has neither been approved or endorsed by and is not affiliated with Narcotics Anonymous World Services, Inc. or any service entity of N.A.W.S., Inc. OK?My work
I've been in IS since getting out of the Army. I started on VAX (DEC) and UNIX. Been an MCSE for a long time, too. I like to solve problems and avoid office politics. I have been very successful thanks to God. Not many fields allow you to have long hair and a beard but still earn an ok buck, so I have been blessed.November I landed my dream job at the VA. I was honest of ALL the forms and was given a chance. It took 4 years of applying to hundreds of jobs, so do not be discouraged...
