truly mobile blogging. I'm sending this by cell while riding the bus home. Sharon & I went out for lunch today. We were to eat at Cafe Laufer, but they're renovating'til Nov 2nd. Ate at BOZU, a Japanese restaurant. I had teri-chicken w/ salad & miso soup. Sharon had tonkatstu & tempura w/ miso. Good flavor: salad dressing was tangy, chicken - not too sweet. Tempura - crunchy! Service - slow (I didn't return w/ enough time to make a lunch-time lunchtime post!)
edit: didn't show up as I had sent it as a slideshow and not plain text message. At least I still had the text since I also CC'ed my email

I'm sending this blog via email today. Why? Unlike sending via MMS (mobile phone), at least if the blog doesn't show up correctly, I can just cut & paste into the blog form =) But the main reason would be to get blogging to work via MMS. Gathered from the Opera Community forums that the MMS & email blogging problem should have been fixed.
Let's see how it goes!

I'll call today a surprise lunch. I actually brought leftovers for lunch today. However, I forgot that the rep from Bank One was visiting and providing lunch today. Instead of the pot roast and salad that Sharon and I had last night, I'll be eating a bento from Gyotaku. It has furikake crusted salmon, mochiko chicken, a slice of spam, some yakisoba (fried noodles), pickled vegetables, and rice. The fish and noodles were a tad salty, and was overall on the greasy end of the spectrum; however, the mochiko chicken was great.
hmm...wonder what i'll cover for tomorrow's lunchtime post as i already talked about it today...

lunch » chinese style roast pork -- re-roasted and mixed with a bit of cabbage & other chopped veggies. The pork had a porky smell to it (probably as the skin wasn't crispy.) The additional trip to the oven did the trick...mostly.

with pulp -- Product of Thailand.
Picked up one can when Sharon & I went to 99 Ranch Market yesterday. I prefer the Pokka brand, as this has added citric acid, making it too sour. Guess that's my sweet tooth talking.
I tried to post today's lunchtime update via MMS from my cell phone. It was a 90% failure. Only an empty post showed up. No subject, picture, or text. One day I'll get it to work, and when that day comes, the world better watch out!

...now if only picture messages didn't cost 25¢ a pop...

Yes, I'm taking a break from the Pokka Carrot juice today.

It's a bit overly-sweet for my tastes. I've had the +white-grape version before which was just right. The aloe pulp bits are great.

- roasted chicken (10/22) -- made by Sharon...although I get a few % in assist points.
Proof: whole chicken, salt for cleaning, hawaiian salt (w/ tiny bit of chili pepper) mix, fresh ground black pepper, tiny bit of oregano, country crock, & 2 hours @ 350 + some broiling to crisp.
Only having chicken breast and back as that was what was left after two meals. It's still tasty and moist with the saved juices.
- baby carrots -- I do love these things. healthy, tasty, and most importantly, easy

sharon's awesome baked short ribs (10/23) -- I would be having this, but it was so good that it didn't last more than lunch and dinner on Sunday.

Lunch » Leftover chashu gohan (chashu pork over white rice) & baby carrots
Sharon & I went to Yotteko-Ya Ramen at McCully shopping center for dinner with Shawn. It's one of our favorite Ramen places. The ramen (especially the soup) is awesome. That's just one thing. Coupled with a cozy Japanese atmosphere and good service, it makes for an enjoyable evening.
Neato...a score of lanterns
...japanese noodles...Sharon & I shared the yataiaji ramen, 3 gyoza, & chashu gohan combination and Ebi mayonnaise (Fried prawn w/ mayo sauce).
From the amount of food, I decided to pack up the rice for today's lunch. This was the first time I had the chashu gohan. It had shredded sliced pork over white rice, flavored with some kind of shoyu-based sauce, and garnished with ginger. Nice presentation, simple aroma, and tasty. It exceeded my expectations.

NB: sizeable portion of ramen...and that's
after Sharon took her share.
...oh yeah, also had Pokka Carrot Juice
