Getting back onto habits, recently also got an iMac for a project. Don't have the space cleared out for it yet, so it's temporarily sitting in front of the PC monitor, and the PC gets used via vga cable to the TV. I'm a habitual keyboard shortcut user, and I'm having the dangdest time adjusting to the differences between Windows and OSX shortcuts.. Some shortcuts are easily translated (e.g., copy: Ctrl-c becomes Command-c), but the Command key is placed next to the space bar (where the Alt key resides on a PC keyboard). Doesn't help that the tiny Mac keyboard doesn't have proper home/end/PgUp/PgDn keys. To do the same thing requires using the arrows while holding the Fn key. "Quickly" selecting text and moving the cursor around with keyboard only now requires juggling the Shift, Fn, Option, and arrow keys.
BTW, this was written on the PC, on the TV, without a mouse. That's without a mouse for everything, not just editing text. I looked all over and can't find the damn thing; it's probably in one of Donnie's hidden stashes all covered with drool. That kid really does take after his zodiac animal.
BTW, I'm typing this on
