it starts with chandigarh, the city planned by corbu, of which i was very very reluctant but at the end it seemed like a refreshing glass of cane water in the hot midday. only a glass of cane water because there were no restaurants to eat all the way along the "leisure park" until i climbed some fences through the deserted (but well guarded) lands around the sector 1 where the government buildings (shared of both states of punjab and harjana) lay in complete isolation. i ate a very strange sandwich consisting of two pieces of bread and melted yellow american cheese-- on the outside. the taste was awful, but it filled my empty (and full of dust) stomach. water helped.
