泉岳寺は吉祥寺、青松寺とともに曹洞宗の江戸三大名刹のひとつの寺。1612年に徳川家康が外桜田の地に創立。その後寛永の大火で焼け、現在の高輪の地に移った。泉岳寺には忠臣蔵で有名な赤穂浪士や赤穂城主浅野内匠頭長矩公の墓がある。また大石内蔵助良雄の銅像や赤穂義士記念館には四十七士に関する貴重な遺品が展示されている。毎年12/14と4/1～4/7には赤穂義士祭が開催される。

品川神社は鎌倉時代から品川の鎮守であったといわれる古社。石段右側の富士塚は明治2年に富士信仰集団"富士講"が築山したもので富士山の遥拝場所もしくは富士山代わりに登山した場所である。春分の日に7つの鳥居をくぐると長寿祈願ができるという7つの鳥居がある。社殿裏には板垣退助の墓もある。例大祭は凄いものなので是非見たいものの一つです（6/7に近い日曜を含む金土日曜）

There is also Taisuke's Itagaki grave on the shrine reverse side. Because example large festival is enormous ones, it is one of those which by all means we would like to see (includes the Sunday which is close to 6/7 gold earth Sunday)
