    Now for some more pictures from the trip. First days we spent a bit close to Brixen, by visiting Hopfgarte, Itter and Søll. Now laster in the week it was time to go to the next couple of places like Scheffau, Ellmau, Going and Westendorf.

    More sun, more slopes and more tired legs at least for mye part. Telemark is quite hard on the legs when doing it for 7 hours each day during a week. But vikings never complain.. just tell the tiny truth. Or something like that.

    Spent last week together with friends in the town called Brixen im Thale in Austria skiing in the many slopes there. In this gallery you'll see some of the images from the first couple of days.     Went to Hafjell this Saturday with Pavel. Got up early in the morning (05:45), but because of bad roads, we did not arrive earlier than last time. Nice day and the sun came up in the afternoon. In the morning it was cloudy, but no wind so great skiing. A lot of new snow since last time we went there and great conditions in the slopes.

    Good to have some straining before Austria next week.

    A little group of Opera employees got up very early one Sunday morning to test the slopes at Norefjell. Skibus left Oslo at 08:00 and for some a long walk (Pavel) to get to Oslo S in time. Sunday not a good time to travel early if you are in need of public transportation.
    The bus ride took quite some time and by 11 we had arrived and started skiing. Jose, Bernardo and Zarko went for Snowboards and practise slope while me and Pavel tested the black slopes futher down. Good conditions but a little windy and flat light from a gray sky.

    PAvel checked the weather and found out that Hafjell would be a great place to spend a Saturday in December and since I'm not THAT hard to order around, we went. Dragged with us Fariya and since we ordered her to go to the very top with us, she spent the day trying to get down again. Poor her. We helped her with useless hints and conflicthing ideas on how to easy her trip, but in the end we made it down :D

    Took 2 holiday's and went home for a short weekend trip. Left with the nightbus from Oslo and arrived Friday morning home on the west coast.
    Friday not much going on, just relaxing and sleeping a little bit. My brother and his girlfriend came over and my mom made Bacalao for dinner. Saturday we went up in the mountain to see if we could find a deer or two to shoot, but no deer present. Later the same day we build a small rock wall behind what will become our new cabin. (the 3D puzzle on the trip) The wall turned out quite nice. Sunday another try to find some deer, but they have all left the area it seems. Monday myself and my dad made another stone wall in front of our new cabin so now things are almost ready for the foundation and the main construction.

    After returning from Las Vegas Sunday morning (After a 45 minutes stop that turned into 2 hours in Los Angeles Airport) I now had only a couple of more day's before going back to Norway ( Thursday).
    So I spent the day's walking around SF and visit the Golden Gate park, de Young Museum and the Golden Gate bridge again.

    A cold weekend spent at a ski resort approx 2 hours drive from Oslo.
    Stayed in a caravan owned by my grandparents so saved a lot on that.
    Bad weather, but what can you do when it's snowing and have not tested skiing for 3 years.
    Just had to go.

    11 hours of skiing during the 2 day stay :smile:

    Sorry for the bad quality pictures, my Nokia N70 just is no better taking pictures in -10 and with a Fresh breeze including snow.

    A quick trip to Sweden to visit Daniel and stay a couple of days in Stockholm "Scandinavia's Capitol" with Yumi as the tourist offices says.

    Arrived on Saturday and waited a little while for Daniel to arrive from Ireland and then I got a day in what must be close to as "Swedish you can go". A little red house on the countryside with farm lands around, a fresh water to go swimming in and very close to Ulf Lundell's definition of "Öppna Landskap". Sadly just a quick stop since I went to Stockholm on sunday evening to find Yumi there. the day's in Stockholm city was most spent just walking around in and around "Gamla Stan" and the harbour area, but we found the time to take the trip to Drottninholm and check out the summer residence for the Swedish Royal family.
    Perfect weather and a city trip to Stockholm are recommended for all :smile:

    Must say, that Oslo has a lot to learn on how to inform and help tourists...
    Oslo do not even have a simpliefied map to show tourists where places of interrests are. I have not been able to find one yet atleast.

    Me and a Swedish friend of mine, went on a little expedition Saturday 22.07. We had decided to climb/ walk up to the top of Norways second highest mountain ( Glittertind).

    We drover from Oslo on Friday evenening, walked up and down on Saturday and returned to Oslo on Sunday. Excellent weather and not every day I can use t-shirt and shorts standing on snow 2465 metres above sea level

    I have added some pictures from Holmenkollen that I captured Saturday 09.09.2006.
    Was riding my bike around downtown and got the idea that cykling up to Holmenkollen would be a nice thing to do... So after a couple of long uphill roads I got myself up.
    Hard up, but very fun to ride down again. Had to break and slow down to keep myself from passing cars. Hmm can you get a speeding ticket when riding a bike?
