4 sifted cups (500gr) bread flour
2 whole eggs
1/4 cup (50gr)sugar
3.5 table spoons (50 gr butter), cubed, at room temperature
2/3 cup(150 gr) warm milk
1 package of instant dry yeast (12gr)
1/2 tea spoon bread improver
1 table spoon milk powder
1 tea spoon salt
2 egg yolks + 1/2 cup water
Sausage (Pork, Fish, Shrimp etc.)
White sesame for topping
1/ Sprinkle the yeast over the warm milk in a medium bowl. Set aside for 5 minutes until foamy
2/ Mix 3/4 of bread flour with sugar + salt + bread improver
3/ Add the butter cubes and mix with hand until crumbly
4/ Add the whole eggs (1 by 1), follow by the rest of the bread flour. Then, gradually add the milk mixture from step 1 while continue mixing by hand. Mix and beat the batter with your hand until smooth and non-sticky. Hint: If the batter is still sticky, spread the margarine (or butter) over your hand and continue to beat. Don't add more flour!
5/ Prepare a floured surface and beat the batter for another 15 minutes. Then, place the dough in a buttered bowl, cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour. You will see the dough double or even triple in volume. Pretty amazing!
6/ When dough has already rise, take out, shaping the bread any size you want and put sausage in the center. Spread beaten egg yolk + water over the surface. Sprinkle the white sesame. Cover and let rise for another 30-45 minutes
7/ Bake at 375 degree F (or 190 degree C) for 20 minutes. BUT Remember to take out and sprinkle egg yolk + water to bread every 5 minutes to make it soft. After 20 minutes, take out, turn to Broil for about 3 minutes to achieve a golden brown surface. Add more water at the end, then let cool completely on rack.
8/ Store in container up to 3 days. Enjoy!
