While art in general doesn't really interest me, there's one artist whose work I really admire: Polish artist Igor Mitoraj. Years ago I shot a bronze Mitoraj sculpture in London at the British Museum ("Moonlight"). Sorry no picture yet, I shot that one with my M6. An enlargement (50x70cm) hangs on a wall in my home. There's another Mitoraj in Scheveningen at the museum "Beelden aan zee" ("Light of the Moon"). No picture of that one too, still on my to-do list.
When I was in the city center last week for my running shoes I had some time to kill because the shop didn't open until 10 o'clock. All of a sudden I see this huge "face" in the distance. So I go to take a closer look, absolutely positive I'm looking at a Mitoraj. A Mitoraj indeed, too bad I didn't bring my camera... So I went back this evening to shoot some pics. There's one in the Mitoraj photo album, more to come. I plan on going back again to remove the chalked additions and to be sure the tables and chairs from the nearby cafe are gone. Gotta make an early start for that though.

Update
I went to Scheveningen saturday to shoot the statue at the museum. The bright and sunny weather didn't make the ideal conditions but I got at least two half decent pics IMO. Both are in the Mitoraj photo album.
